Humolli: Self-Determination creating conflicts in society instead of focusing on Kosovo’s development

Former Self-Determination Movement MP Fatmir Humolli said that the party was creating conflicts within society instead of focusing on Kosovo’s development.

“The tendency of the Self-Determination Movement is to provoke a civil war, to create conflict within society rather than develop Kosovo,” Humolli told Front Online.

According to him, the current Government has not presented a single clear development project that would require the recruitment of new personnel.

“Changes should be made when there is a clear project and program and when expertise is needed to implement that project. This Government does not have a single development project for which it needs new personnel, and it continues with a structure that ignores the citizens who placed their trust in it,” Humolli said.

He also criticized the way the institutions acted following the certification of the election results.

“Had there been an interest in developing the country, they would have constituted the Assembly and formed the Government on the first day after the election results were certified and proceeded with the procedures for electing the President, but they ignored all constitutional norms,” Humolli said.

The Kosovo Assembly was constituted on September 13, and a new Government headed by Albin Kurti was elected the same day, with a composition identical to that of the previous Government.

The Government was elected with 62 votes in favor and eight against, while the opposition was not present in the chamber during the vote.
