Kurti receives no congratulations on new government's election: No messages from Washington, Brussels, or Tirana

Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti was elected prime minister for the fourth time, but it appears that the news "did not cross the borders of the parliamentary chamber," as no congratulations from any prominent international leader have been issued so far following the election of the "Kurti 4" government, Nacionale notes.

As the outlet reports, there has been no message from Washington, nor any congratulations from Brussels, Tirana, or other European capitals.

In the previous mandate, it recalls, Kurti at least had the support of Albanian Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, who congratulated him on his election, but this time "even Berisha has remained silent."

"The newly re-elected prime minister repeated his promises on infrastructure, education and diplomacy. However, the diplomacy of the new government began without a single congratulatory telegram. Under normal circumstances, governing parties immediately publish messages from foreign leaders, presenting them as proof of international support. This time, there was nothing to publish," Nacionale notes.

Albin Kurti's fourth government was approved yesterday with 62 votes in favor and eight against. DPK, LDK, and Alliance MPs did not attend the session.
