Krasniqi: The situation in the north suits Russia best; if the Government does not understand this, there will be a crisis in the fall
Professor Milazim Krasniqi says that it is appropriate for Russia to prolong the crisis in the north of Kosovo because in this way it puts pressure on the West to stop helping Ukraine.
Krasniqi stated on Facebook "that with this crisis, Serbia is tied to Russia, as its supposed protector from the West, even in the UN Security Council."
"It is inherently absurd that Kurti's Government started a crisis in the north with that decision on license plates, while Serbia used it to implement the Russian scenario for the destabilization and isolation of Kosovo. That absurd decision on license plates and some of the measures that followed had a consequence on our state interests,” Krasniqi says.
He adds that the current crisis could increase in the fall if Kurti's Government does not realize that Russia needs this crisis.
"Russia intends to form a kind of Abkhazia, Ossetia or Donbas in the north of Kosovo, to hold the state of Kosovo hostage and to increase Russian influence in the region. Therefore, Kurti's Government must take concrete actions during this month, in order to avoid the armed conflict scenario that Russia is planning for the fall. Among the urgent actions should be the immediate resignation of four mayors in the northern municipalities and the holding of elections in which the Serbs would participate as soon as possible," he adds.
Krasniqi points out that mayors do not represent any standard of democracy or equality.
"It is stupid that Kosovo is hostage to their useless mandate. They do not represent anyone, because three of them do not dare to go to the offices, while one does not dare to leave the office. Therefore, holding elections as soon as possible can put the integration process of the Serbs back on track and thus reduce the malignant influence of Russia and the fascist dictates of Serbia. If this is not done decisively, then the responsibility of Kurti’s Government should be sought in other places. Not only on the trail of political responsibility," he pointed out.
He adds that otherwise, jeopardizing the security and existence of Kosovo and jeopardizing the security of NATO would inevitably be treated as criminal responsibility.
