Office for Kosovo and Metohija: Kurti is using the events in Banjska as an excuse for continuing terror in the north
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija has stated that this morning, brutal and excessive displays of force by Albin Kurti and his special forces had continued in northern Kosovo and Metohija, and they emphasized that it was clear that Kurti, along with his police, was using the events from Sunday in Banjska as an excuse to continue terrorizing the north.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija notes that Kurti's special forces, in a show of terror, broke doors at the entrance to the Clinical Hospital, searched certain rooms, and, heavily armed, marched through this central Serbian healthcare institution in Kosovo, despite being told by the hospital administration that there was no need for a show of force and that they could look anything they wanted.
"Approximately 15 armored vehicles of ROSU were involved in this action, and the entire action was observed without any reaction by EULEX personnel. This action has caused additional shock and fear among both patients and employees. Kurti's police officers deliberately chose this time for their show of force and patrolling with armored vehicles when employees are heading to work and children are going to school and kindergarten, aiming to further disturb the Serbian community," the statement says.
The statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija also mentions that a hundred of the most critically ill patients from the internal department of the Clinical Hospital are in a particularly severe state of shock after witnessing this brutal and unannounced action, as well as the students from the medical school who arrive at the hospital for their practice during this time.
"It is clear that Kurti, along with his police, is using the events from Sunday in Banjska as an excuse to continue terrorizing the north of Kosovo and Metohija. This action was carried out with a clear goal – to prevent peace in northern Kosovo and Metohija and prevent the Serbian community from living normally, seeking medical treatment without fear of armed incursions, and sending their children to kindergartens and schools," concludes the statement from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
