Todic: Not true that shots were fired at KFOR; people are determined to fight for a safe future
The former Leposavic Mayor Zoran Todic said that the night passed peacefully at the barricades in this municipality, in Lesak, and Ibarska Slatina, and as for the shooting that was heard last night in Zubin Potok, he stated that it was not true that the KFOR mission was shot at.
"After the incident in the Zubin Potok municipality territory, tensions also increased in the Leposavic municipality territory. However, the people are determined to persevere in this fight, and they are determined to fight for a safe future in these areas," Todic said for TV Pink.
He stated that although it was said that EULEX and KFOR would deliver food and hygiene products for the members of the Kosovo Police who are at the Leposavic station, two days ago there was a EULEX vehicle at the head of the convoy that reached the station, but that behind them were members of the ROSU special unit with long guns.
"It is worrying that they brought weapons into the police station, that is, sniper rifles, and that clearly shows the Pristina government's intentions. Everything we have been warning about for a long time is now coming true," Todic noted.
He points out that at this moment, the determination of the state of Serbia to not allow violence against the Serbian people in Kosovo is crucial.
"Unity was created, which was much needed. We have nothing to ask from the Kosovo institutions when we only get violence and long guns from them. This time there is no giving in. This is Serbia for us, the people do not want to live in an independent Kosovo," Todic said.
