Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met today in Abu Dhabi with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates.

"With my friend Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, I continued the excellent talks that we started in Belgrade in January of this year, with a special focus on the even faster development of comprehensive and strategic bilateral and economic cooperation between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates," Vucic said on Instagram profile “buducnostsrbijeav”.

He said that they had exchanged opinions on the development of the geopolitical situation and that they had agreed that there was no alternative to advocating for peace.

"Inevitably, we exchanged opinions on the latest developments in the geopolitical situation and tectonic disturbances in the architecture of international relations, which have opened numerous new conflicts and brought great uncertainty and deep divisions between nations and states. We agreed that advocating for peace has no alternative in international relations and that our countries are sincerely committed to that goal. In times when old alliances are being torn down and new alliances are being created, Serbia is proud to point out its friendship with the United Arab Emirates as one of the main factors of peace not only in the Middle East but also on a much wider scale. Thank you once again for your solid and sincere partnership, dear friends from the United Arab Emirates," Vucic said.
