Andjelkovic: Pristina politicians encourage attacks on Serbs, they want to banish them from Kosovo
Politician and former president of the Provisional Executive Council of Kosovo and Metohija, Zoran Andjelkovic, states regarding the series of attacks on Serbs from Kosovo during January that such actions are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Western Balkans to ethnically cleanse the Serbs from Kosovo.
He pointed out that the January attacks on Serbs in Kosovo were a continuation of provocations that especially intensified at the beginning of last year.
"Their goal is aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Western Balkans and at trying to threaten the peace, as well as constant pressure on the Serbs in Kosovo to encourage serious destabilization and ethnic cleansing of the Serbs," Andjelkovic said.
He emphasized that the Pristina officials' rhetoric encouraged extremists in Kosovo to attack Serbs continually.
However, Andjelkovic also says that we should not expect the international community to react to all these attacks and that "there is no one to react for the Serbian victims but us".
"Even when, due to threatened human rights, Serbs try to draw attention to their problem with barricades, the international community blames the Serbs. That's why Serbia is doing everything to protect the Serbs and preserve peace," Andjelkovic said.
