Maloku: Kurti’s explanations in the US tragicomic, but in line with his parliamentary role

Political scientist Albinot Maloku described the statements and explanations of Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti during his “US tour” as tragicomic. At the same time, he noted ironically that such a narrative is “in line with his position as an MP.”

“His speech, his way of explaining, his self-perception of what he thinks should be or is, at certain moments seemed ridiculous, if not tragicomic, considering the relationship Kosovo ought to have with the United States,” Maloku told Kosova Press.

He added with irony that Kurti’s statements and meetings in the US should be viewed “in line with his parliamentary status.”

“These visits he had, all at the level of the US legislature, are in line with his position as an MP. Government officials meet with government officials, and he has not yet managed to secure such a meeting,” Maloku said.
