Vucic: Marko Djuric made big changes in relations with the USA

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has said that the Ambassador of Serbia in Washington, Marko Djuric, made major changes in relations with the United States of America.

"People often laugh at Marko Djuric, but he has made big changes in the relationship with the USA, as an ambassador. He has done a lot," said Vucic in the TV Happy show "Cirilica (engl. Cyrillic)".

In response to the statement that it was previously unthinkable for the USA to be on the side of Serbia in many talks, Vucic said that we should not be naive, because they were not on the side of Serbia, but they were trying to behave rationally and seriously and not to lose energy and strength on someone else, because they already focused their strength on Russia.

This, he added, was logical, rational and responsible behavior.

"Can we use it tactically - perhaps, strategically - not easily. But relations with the USA are important to us", Vucic said.
